This 2D companion renders the same Gordon-Taylor glass-transition physics as its 3D counterpart through a state-space phase diagram and a 2D random-walk diffusion field, instead of a stylized creature body. Water content drains under a controllable desiccation rate; the Gordon-Taylor equation combines that water content with a trehalose/CAHS protective-solute level to estimate the mixture's glass-transition temperature, plotted live as a curve against the water-content axis. A diffusion coefficient derived from the same logistic mobility factor drives an ensemble of particles performing genuine Brownian random walks — their measured mean-squared-displacement is back-solved for D each frame and compared against the predicted value, so the vitrification transition is visible both as a state-space crossing and as a literal freeze of Brownian motion. Rehydration reverses the whole process.
