Pesticide Runoff & Buffer Strip Filtration (2D)

A sprayed field slopes down toward a stream, and every rain event mobilises a fraction of the applied pesticide as overland runoff. This simulator renders that field from directly above: droplets leave the sprayed zone, slide downhill, and either get intercepted by a vegetative buffer strip along the stream bank or escape into the water. The strip's trapping follows the exponential vegetative filter strip model used in real runoff mitigation studies — retention depends on strip width and vegetation density together, not either one alone.
