The Material Circularity Indicator (MCI) is the metric circular-economy teams use to score how closed the material loop of a product really is, from the fully linear "take, make, waste" model at 0 up to a fully closed loop at 1. This 2D flow-diagram simulator renders the loop flat: virgin material and recycled feedstock both flow into manufacturing, through use, and out to end-of-life, where each token is either successfully collected and recycled back into the loop or lost as unrecoverable waste. Four sliders — recycled input fraction, end-of-life collection rate, recycling process efficiency, and product lifetime relative to the industry average — drive the same Linear Flow Index and utility-factor formulas the Ellen MacArthur Foundation uses, with the MCI gauge, LFI and utility factor updating live as you tune them.
