This simulation shows how automated systems actually use data to drive real-time decisions. A noisy process stream feeds a statistical-process-control loop that continuously computes a rolling mean and variance, compares each new reading against a spec tolerance, and acts on what it finds — nudging the process back toward target with a proportional correction and directing a robotic arm to pull out-of-spec items off a live conveyor. Turn automation off and the same drifting, noisy data goes unanalyzed and unacted-on, so bad items sail straight through — a concrete picture of why closed-loop automation, not just data collection, is what keeps an automated system in control.
