Every record leaving the hive station carries hidden metadata quality: a completeness fraction (how many of 5 required fields it has), a vocabulary-tagging score (0–1) and a license flag. It must clear three probabilistic gates in order:
- ① Completeness — passes if its completeness fraction is ≥0.6, or probabilistically below that (chance equal to the fraction itself).
- ② Vocabulary — passes only if its tagging score ≥ the strictness slider (0–1).
- ③ Open license — a hard boolean gate: passes only if the license toggle is on.
Records that clear all three spiral into the growing FAIR archive on the right; anything that fails at any gate drops straight into the orphaned-data pile below. The FAIR score is simply accepted ÷ (accepted + rejected) — raise completeness or lower strictness to watch it climb, or turn off licensing to watch every record fail gate ③ regardless of quality.
