This simulator makes the classic memory-safety vulnerability tangible: a fixed-size 16-byte stack buffer sits next to a canary word, a saved frame pointer and the function's return address. Drag the input-length slider past the buffer's capacity and watch each region get overwritten in a real 3D stack-memory view, byte by byte. Toggle stack canaries, DEP/NX and ASLR independently and press Launch Attack to see exactly which combination of missing protections is required for the overflow to turn into arbitrary code execution — and which single protection is enough to stop it cold.
