Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior — Bot-Amplified Misinformation Spread

This simulation models how a false claim spreads across a social graph and how a small population of coordinated bot accounts distorts that spread. Organic accounts follow a Susceptible → Exposed → Sharer/Skeptic diffusion process, sharing at a randomised human pace only along their real network edges. Bot accounts instead fire on a near-synchronized timer and blast the claim out to a wide pre-built follower list, and the live "bot timing synchrony" readout — the standard deviation of bot share timestamps — reproduces the core statistical signal real platforms use to flag coordinated inauthentic behavior: independent humans never react in near-lockstep, but a botnet following a shared script does.
