VPN Tunnel Security Simulator

A VPN protects you two ways at once: it encrypts your packets so anyone watching the wire can't read them, and it re-addresses them under the VPN server's IP so the destination never learns your real one. This simulation visualizes both mechanisms as packets travel from your device through a VPN server to a destination, and lets you trigger a DNS-leak attack — a realistic failure mode where DNS lookups escape the tunnel in plaintext, exposing your real IP and browsing destinations even while your main traffic stays encrypted.
