Harvest-Now-Decrypt-Later: Quantum Crypto Risk Timeline

Quantum computers don't need to exist today to threaten today's encrypted traffic. This simulator dramatizes the "harvest now, decrypt later" attack behind post-quantum migration planning: encrypted data packets stream into an adversary's storage vault continuously, each carrying a harvest year and a confidentiality deadline. Drag the three timeline sliders — data shelf-life, migration time, and years until a cryptographically-relevant quantum computer ("Q-day") — and watch Mosca's inequality play out live: when the simulated clock hits Q-day, every packet that is both still RSA/ECC-protected and still within its secrecy window turns red and counts as compromised, while anything migrated to post-quantum cryptography beforehand stays safe. It's a working model of the exact planning question every organization migrating to ML-KEM/ML-DSA has to answer: does migration finish before the exposure window closes?
