This simulation puts you in the role of an incident responder facing an active breach spreading laterally across a live 3D network graph. A stochastic infection model — the same discrete-time epidemic mechanics used to reason about worm and ransomware propagation — governs how compromise jumps from host to host over the network's real link topology every tick. You control the transmission rate to see how aggressive malware behaves differently, pre-harden the network by patching a fraction of hosts before or during the incident, and either manually click infected hosts to isolate them from the network or hand response over to an automated SOC with a tunable detection delay. Live readouts track infected, contained, and patched host counts, elapsed response time in ticks, and a cumulative damage score, so you can directly compare how much a few ticks of response delay compounds total damage.
