Defense in Depth: Gate Chain & Survival Decay (2D)

The 3D edition of this simulator renders defense-in-depth as nested spheres attacked from every direction in three dimensions. This 2D companion keeps the identical underlying probability model — independent layers, each blocking a fixed fraction of traffic, with breach probability P(breach) = (1 − p)^n — but represents it two ways at once on a flat canvas: a left-to-right corridor of gates that attack packets race through and get absorbed at (or slip past), and beneath it a live statistical chart plotting the theoretical population-survival curve S(k) = (1 − p)^k against the empirical survival fraction measured directly from the simulated packets. Watching the two curves lock together as attacks accumulate makes the exponential decay of defense-in-depth visible as a shape, not just a percentage.
