Blockchain scalability comes down to one trade-off: splitting a network into parallel shards multiplies raw throughput, but any transaction that touches two shards needs a slower two-phase commit that eats back part of that gain. This simulator renders each shard as a ring of validator nodes producing blocks on its own timer, streams intra-shard transactions (blue) straight into their shard and cross-shard transactions (gold) through a central relay into two shards in sequence, and derives effective TPS, ideal TPS and average confirmation latency live from the shard count, block size, block time and cross-shard share you set — the same parameters real sharded chains like Zilliqa, Near and Ethereum's rollup-centric roadmap have to balance.
