Permission Priming: Just-in-Time vs Upfront Requests

Mobile apps have to ask the OS for camera, location, notification and contacts access at some point during onboarding — and when and how they ask changes how often users say yes. This simulator streams synthetic users as 3D particles through four sequential permission gates and applies a probabilistic grant model driven by three real UX levers: upfront-blast vs just-in-time request timing, whether a priming/rationale screen precedes the system dialog, and a permission-fatigue decay that erodes each subsequent ask within the same session. Live per-gate grant-rate bars and session-level stats update as each wave of users passes through, showing exactly how much timing and priming move opt-in rates compared to firing every permission dialog at first launch.
