Fitts's Law & Hick's Law Simulator

Two of the foundational quantitative laws of human-computer interaction, tested on your own pointing and decision speed. The Fitts's Law test times how long it takes you to click targets of varying size and distance, fits a linear regression to your data (MT = a + b·log2(D/W+1)) and shows how closely real movement time tracks the model's prediction. The Hick's Law test times how long it takes you to pick a named option out of menus of growing size, showing decision time rise with log2(N+1) — the same relationship that explains why small, well-organized menus feel faster to use than sprawling ones, independent of how easy any single click is.
