Cloud Computing: Autoscaling Data Center

Cloud computing delivers compute, storage and software over the internet instead of from a machine you own — this simulator visualizes the elastic infrastructure layer underneath that promise. A grid of server instances sits idle until client requests start arriving; an autoscaling control loop watches the incoming rate and brings servers online (or takes them offline) to hold utilization near a target, exactly like the auto scaling groups behind AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. Switch between IaaS, PaaS and SaaS to see how much work a single instance can absorb at each abstraction level, push the request rate past what the fleet can scale to in time, and watch requests start getting dropped.
