Debounced Form Validation 2D — Mobile Input Timing Lab

Every mobile form field that validates as you type faces the same tradeoff: check on every keystroke and you flood the network (or the CPU) with redundant work and flash error states mid-word, or wait for the user to pause and delay feedback. This simulator makes that tradeoff visible on a flat 2D timeline you can scrub and zoom by hand. Type a real email address into the field on the left and each keystroke appears as a glowing tick scrolling toward a validation gate; an amber "debounce shield" trails the most recent keystroke and only reaches the gate — firing a rising pulse that resolves green or red after a simulated network round-trip — once the field has gone quiet for the full debounce delay. Sliders control the debounce delay, the network latency, and an auto-demo typist (with a configurable typo-and-correction rate) so you can watch how a single slider setting turns a ten-keystroke burst into one validation call instead of ten, and how that maps directly onto the time-to-feedback the user actually perceives. Drag the canvas to look back through history at the current zoom, or scroll to zoom the visible time window in or out — both are pure viewport controls that never touch the underlying debounce timers.
