Stained Glass Window — Colored Light Rays
A gothic arch window is mosaicked into irregular leaded-glass panes, each a differently colored transmissive material, backlit by a strong point light standing in for the sun. Broad additive cones simulate volumetric light shafts streaming through the glass, and drifting dust motes catch the colored light as they rise through the beams.
- Pointed-arch frame built from an extruded 2D shape with a matching hole
- Grid of jittered quad panes clipped to the arch outline, each with its own hue
- 24 additive light-ray cones simulate sunbeams shining through the glass
- Up to 500 floating dust particles recycle upward through the beams
