Garden-path structure
Correct (reanalyzed)
Garden-path sentences are grammatical but momentarily mislead the human sentence-processing system into building the wrong structure, forcing a costly reanalysis when a later word turns out incompatible with it. This simulator replays that process on five classic examples: it reveals each sentence word by word at a simulated reading pace, builds the parser's first-choice parse tree live, and measures a simulated per-word reading time that spikes exactly at the word that breaks the initial analysis — mirroring the slowdown measured in real self-paced reading experiments. Pick a sentence, press Play, and watch the tree collapse and rebuild itself into the correct structure.
