Emotional Intelligence: Amygdala, Regulation & Conflict

Emotional intelligence isn't a single trait — it plays out moment to moment as a loop between a stressor, an amygdala spike, prefrontal regulation, and how that regulated (or unregulated) state spreads to the other person in a conflict. This simulation makes that loop visible and interactive: choose reappraisal, suppression, or avoidance, tune regulation skill and empathic contagion, and watch whether the interaction escalates into open conflict or settles back to cooperation.
