This simulation explores the transition towards sustainable transportation systems by modelling a city's entire daily commute as trips distributed across petrol car, electric car, bus and bike/walk. Move a mode's share and every other mode rescales proportionally, exactly as a real modal-shift policy trades one mode's ridership for another's. A live 3D city block shows the resulting traffic mix with vehicles instanced per mode, while the panel computes total CO₂ emissions from published per-passenger-km emission factors, average per-trip energy use, and a road-congestion index driven by the Bureau of Public Roads function — showing concretely how shifting trips onto electric vehicles, public transit and cycling reduces both carbon emissions and traffic congestion.
