This simulator recreates a crosshole seismic survey used to monitor CO₂ storage reservoirs: seismic sources in one borehole fire straight-ray arrivals to receivers in a second borehole, and travel times are inverted for a hidden subsurface velocity model using the Algebraic Reconstruction Technique (ART / Kaczmarz row-projection) — the same iterative algorithm behind CT-scanner and geophysical tomography. Adjust station density and the CO₂-induced velocity drop, then run the inversion and watch the reconstructed image converge toward the true low-velocity plume, with live travel-time residual and model-error readouts tracking the convergence.
