Land-Sea Thermal Contrast & Monsoon Onset

Monsoon onset is, at its core, a heat-capacity story: land is a thin slab that heats and cools quickly under seasonal sunlight, while the ocean's mixed layer behaves like a deep reservoir that lags far behind. This simulator runs a real seasonal energy-balance model for both surfaces side by side, tracks the growing land-sea temperature contrast ΔT, and switches the near-surface wind field from a dry offshore breeze to a moisture-carrying onshore flow the moment ΔT crosses the onset threshold — with land, sea and airflow all rendered in 3D and live numeric readouts for land temperature, sea temperature, ΔT and day-of-year.
