Water Vapor Feedback: The Climate Amplifier

Water vapor is the largest amplifying feedback in Earth's climate system, and this simulator makes the actual physics of it interactive. A real Clausius-Clapeyron calculation drives an animated shell of water-vapor molecules around a 3D Earth: raise the temperature and the shell visibly thickens, exactly as the exponential saturation-vapor-pressure relationship predicts. Alongside it, a standard climate-feedback formula shows how that extra vapor takes a modest CO2 forcing and amplifies it into a much larger equilibrium warming — with a toggle to switch the feedback loop off and see the smaller, unamplified response by comparison.
