Lake-Floor Methane Bubble Transect (2D)

This is a 2D cross-section companion to the 3D thermokarst-lake ebullition tank: instead of an orbitable cylindrical scene, it slices straight through an uneven lake floor so the depth each seep hotspot actually has to overcome — deeper in the basins, shallower on the shelves — becomes directly visible, alongside a flat thermocline shear layer that bends rising plumes sideways into the lake's real internal-current pattern. The underlying rise-speed and dissolution physics is the same competition (Stokes-to-plateau rise speed against a radius-dependent mass-transfer loss), tuned here so both regimes and the resulting depth-dependent survival threshold are visible across the sliders' full range, with a live-computed critical-radius curve showing exactly where your current settings land relative to that boundary.
