Water surface η(x)
Sea/harbor floor h(x)
Breakwater
This 2D companion replaces the 3D scene with the cross-section the coastal-engineering math actually lives in: a leapfrog shallow-water-equation solver runs on a real shelf-to-harbor depth profile, a wavemaker drives a true tsunami-period wave train shoreward, Green's-law shoaling emerges from the physics as depth falls, and a breakwater at the harbor mouth attenuates the incoming wave by a live, freeboard-and-gap-driven transmission coefficient — so every slider visibly changes both how much the wave amplifies and how high it floods the harbor quay.
