Global Temperature Anomaly Map — 2D Field & Time Series

This is the 2D counterpart to the 3D anomaly-network globe: the same climatology, warming trend, ENSO-like drifting patch, station network and z-score flag threshold, but rendered as diagrams that are native to 2D instead of a rotating sphere. A dense equirectangular grid evaluates the anomaly field continuously across latitude and longitude — the same map projection real climate agencies publish anomaly maps in — while a scrolling time series tracks the global mean anomaly over simulated years and a live histogram shows the full distribution of station z-scores relative to your flag threshold.
