Bio-Concrete Healing Front: 2D Reaction-Diffusion

This is the 2D counterpart to the rotatable 3D bio-concrete slab. Instead of a single lumped healing-rate number applied uniformly everywhere, this view solves a genuine 2D reaction-diffusion PDE across a longitudinal cross-section of the crack: dissolved calcium-lactate/urea substrate diffuses in from the exposed crack mouth with a realistic ionic diffusivity, gets consumed by Michaelis–Menten ureolysis kinetics wherever it arrives, and precipitates calcite that locally clogs the pores and slows further diffusion. The result is a moving healing front — cream-coloured calcite fills in near the surface first while the crack tip, a centimetre or so deeper, lags behind because the substrate simply hasn't diffused that far yet. Tune spore density, calcium-lactate feedstock, temperature and moisture to see how each reshapes both the reaction rate and how deep the healing front can reach.
