Shore Power: Cold Ironing at Port (2D)

Ships idling at berth don't stop burning fuel — their auxiliary diesel generators keep running around the clock to power lighting, pumps and refrigerated cargo. Shore power (cold ironing) replaces that onboard diesel with a plug into the local electricity grid. This 2D companion view renders the same trade-off as a side-on dock scene plus a live emissions timeline: dial in a ship's hotel load, how long it stays docked, what fraction of that time is actually connected to shore power, and how clean the local grid is, then watch the stack's exhaust plume thin out, the shore cable pulse with current, and the diesel-baseline vs actual CO₂ curves peel apart across the dwell period while live readouts track instantaneous draw, CO₂ avoided and cost saved.
