2D Carbon Cycle — Five-Reservoir Box Model

This is the 2D companion to the Global Carbon Cycle simulation, built as a genuinely different mass-balance system rather than a reskin: it splits the single ocean box into a fast surface layer and a slow deep layer, exchanging carbon with the atmosphere through a Revelle-factor-buffered gas exchange formula and with each other through a concentration-gradient mixing flux — the same style of compartmental physics used in real carbon-cycle box models. Land uptake responds to atmospheric CO2 through a CO2-fertilization term you can tune directly, and fossil fuel emissions remain the only human-controlled input. Every arrow's thickness and particle flow rate is drawn from the live flux value, and a running graph tracks atmospheric CO2 in parts per million as the five reservoirs settle toward whatever equilibrium your settings produce.
