🧪 Pesticide Contamination Control

A 3D field-to-apiary model where crop spray drift crosses a buffer zone on the wind, accumulates as residue at the hives, and gets caught (or missed) by a periodic lab testing loop.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Buffer zone width and wind conditions jointly determine how much off-target pesticide reaches a hive; a fixed-interval sampling protocol then decides how quickly a contamination breach is actually detected and quarantine triggered.

🎮 How to Use

Adjust buffer width, wind speed and drift angle, then click "Trigger spray-drift incident" to simulate an off-target application. Watch the residue reading, the lab vial rack, and the quarantine ring respond.

💡 Did You Know?

Because drift concentration falls off sharply with distance from the source, even a modest unsprayed buffer strip can cut the dose reaching a hive by an order of magnitude.
