Micelle Drug Solubilization — Hydrophobic Core Loading

This simulation renders a population of surfactant micelles suspended in water, each with a nonpolar hydrophobic core, alongside a swarm of hydrophobic drug molecules diffusing through the aqueous phase. As drug molecules random-walk near a micelle they partition into its core with a probability set by the partition coefficient (log P) and leave capacity-limited by the core's finite volume, while already-bound molecules can escape back into solution — the same two-way equilibrium that governs how poorly water-soluble drugs are solubilized for delivery. A live Langmuir-isotherm calculation runs alongside the particle simulation so you can compare the simulated solubilized fraction against the theoretical equilibrium prediction for the current partition coefficient, micelle concentration and core capacity.
