Competitive Inhibitor IC50 Titration

Competitive enzyme inhibition is a race for one binding site: a substrate molecule and a competitive inhibitor both fit the same active-site pocket, so only one can be bound at any instant. This simulator renders that race directly in 3D — substrate (blue) and inhibitor (red) spheres orbit a central enzyme, and whichever wins a concentration- and affinity-weighted draw occupies the site, with bound substrate converting to product (green) and releasing again. Underneath, the exact Michaelis-Menten-with-competitive-inhibition rate law drives a live dose-response curve and the Cheng-Prusoff relationship IC50 = Ki·(1 + [S]/Km), so you can watch apparent Km rise and IC50 shift in real time as you tune substrate concentration, Km, Ki and inhibitor dose.
