This simulator renders the analytical electrochemistry technique of chronoamperometry in 3D: a working electrode sits at the bottom of an electrolyte cell filled with diffusing analyte ions. Step the potential and every ion that touches the electrode is instantly consumed, opening up a growing particle-free diffusion layer while the current is tracked live on a Cottrell decay curve, I(t) ∝ t-1/2. Tune the bulk concentration, diffusion coefficient and electrode area to see how each one scales the current and how fast the diffusion layer grows, with live numeric readouts for instantaneous current, diffusion-layer thickness and total charge passed.
