Enzyme Kinetics & Inhibition

Enzymes speed up biochemistry by binding a substrate at a precisely shaped active site, holding it just long enough to lower the energy barrier of the reaction, then releasing product and resetting. This simulation renders that cycle directly: substrate molecules diffuse, dock, convert and release from six enzyme sites, while a live counter compares the simulated reaction rate against the Michaelis-Menten equation.
