Reaction rate isn't a fixed number — it's the outcome of how often molecules collide and what fraction of those collisions carry enough energy to react. This simulation models a simple gas-phase reaction A + B → C inside a 3D reaction vessel: reactant molecules move and collide according to kinetic theory, and each A–B collision reacts probabilistically following the Arrhenius equation. Adjust temperature, activation energy and concentration to see, in real time, why heating a reaction, adding a catalyst, or concentrating the reactants all speed things up for genuinely different reasons.
