Ion Exchange Breakthrough Field: Depth vs Bed-Volume Heatmap

This is a 2D field-native counterpart to the 3D ion-exchange softening-column simulator. Rather than rendering a bead cloud at a single instant, the whole service run is unrolled into a space-time heatmap: true bed depth on the vertical axis, accumulated bed volumes treated scrolling along the horizontal axis. Every cell independently evaluates the same Thomas-model breakthrough equation used to size real softening columns, so the moving mass-transfer zone appears directly as a diagonal band advancing through the field, and the mini breakthrough-curve plot traces exactly the outlet row of that same field over time. Adjust flow rate, feed hardness and bead diameter to see how each reshapes the field, and hit Regenerate to watch the NaCl brine flush collapse it back to a fresh bed.
