Flow Reactor Materials Compatibility Lab — 2D

Choosing tubing for a continuous-flow chemical reactor is a materials-compatibility problem, not just a plumbing one: the wrong material meeting the wrong reagent at the wrong temperature can thin a tube wall to failure in hours. This 2D companion renders the reactor coil unrolled into its side-elevation profile (the same helix, viewed edge-on as a travelling wave) and applies a corrected Arrhenius thermal-activation model to a chosen tube material and process fluid, so raising the temperature slider visibly accelerates wall loss and pitting exactly as it would in a real accelerated-corrosion test — with live corrosion-rate, wall-remaining and time-to-failure readouts driving the color of the coil itself. Drag to pan across the coil and scroll to zoom in on individual pitting sites.
