This simulation guides a virtual patient through a shoulder-abduction rehabilitation exercise performed against an elastic resistance band. A physically grounded pendulum-and-Hooke's-law model drives the arm toward a smoothly sweeping target angle while gravity, band tension and a patient-strength ceiling all fight to hold it back — exactly the forces a real physical-therapy patient contends with.
