Excavation Foreman

Run a hydraulic excavator on a live construction site. Dig to grade, haul spoil away, keep clear of the crew — and finish before the clock runs out.

Welcome, foreman

You operate a 30-tonne hydraulic excavator. The terrain is fully deformable: every scoop of the bucket removes real soil, and what you dump piles up, slumps and fills truck beds.

WASDDrive the tracks and steer. You cannot drive into deep pits.

The arm

Two sticks, eight functions. Hydraulics have weight — ease into the controls.

QESlew the cab left / right RFBoom up / down TGStick out / in YHBucket curl (scoop) / dump

On a phone use the three joysticks. With a mouse, open the on-screen buttons (🖱) and hold them.

Dig & dump

Lower the bucket tip into the ground with the teeth pointing down, then stick in and curl to fill the bucket. Hard rock (grey) is slow — clay (orange) is tougher than topsoil (dark). When the bucket is full you can’t dig deeper.

Swing over a truck or a spoil heap and press H to dump the load. Keep dumps within the truck bed outline.

Read the site

The hologram shows the target. The overlay (O) paints the ground: red = dig more, green = on grade, blue = too low. Watch the depth readout under the tooth.

Workers wear hi-vis and carry a red safety ring. They run from you — but touching one is a serious penalty. Camera: drag to orbit, wheel / pinch to zoom, C cycles follow / free / cab view.
