This simulator models the real mechanics behind a judo throw: balance is treated as an inverted pendulum, where Uke stays standing only while their center of gravity projects inside the base formed by their feet. Set a pull angle and force to break that balance (kuzushi), pick O Soto Gari, Seoi Nage or O Uchi Gari — each with its own ideal off-balancing direction and pivot geometry — and dial in Uke's stability to represent skill or resistance. Pressing Enter & Throw runs genuine torque-driven angular kinematics: if the destabilizing torque overcomes Uke's resisting torque, angular acceleration α = τ/I spins the throw through to a landing, and the resulting rotation speed decides whether it scores Ippon, Waza-ari, or no score at all.
