📦 GS1 Barcodes and Product Setup for UK Honey Brands

Watch a honey jar and its outer trade case travel down a checkout belt, each carrying a real GS1-style barcode whose check digit is calculated live from the GTIN data digits — then see the scanner accept or reject it.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Consumer units (jars) need a GTIN-13/EAN-13; outer trade cases need a separate GTIN-14/ITF-14 with an added indicator digit. Both use the same GS1 Modulo-10 check-digit algorithm, computed and shown live.

🎮 How to Use

Switch between jar and case, change the case's indicator digit and pack size, and toggle a corrupted check digit to see exactly what makes a retailer's EPOS system reject a barcode.

💡 Did You Know?

A single mistyped digit in a product data sheet is one of the most common reasons a small food brand's barcode gets bounced back by a retailer's onboarding portal before launch.
