Fertilisation & Early Cleavage Simulator (2D)

This 2D companion drives the same reproductive-biology race and cleavage model as the 3D version through a flat, top-down canvas view: sperm cells swim inward across an annular arena, cross the corona radiata, and probabilistically bind the zona pellucida at a rate set by motility over zona resistance; the winner triggers a visible cortical reaction that hardens the zona and freezes every other sperm in place, after which the zygote divides on a 2D area-conserving schedule (radius ∝ n-1/2, distinct from the 3D sphere-volume model's n-1/3) through 2-, 4-, 8- and 16-cell stages into a blastocyst with a visible trophoblast ring and inner cell mass.
