Six hives ring a central gene-bank vault, each carrying one rare genetic line. Every generation, each living hive risks collapse at the chosen probability. If the gene bank is on, a reserve queen may fly out from the vault at the restock chance and re-found a collapsed hive from a small nucleus. If a line's last living hive collapses and no reserve exists (bank off, or that line's reserve already exhausted), the line is lost forever.
