Real reserves are rarely one unbroken block of habitat — they are a scatter of fragments separated by roads, farmland and settlement, and a species survives across the whole network only if patches keep recolonising each other faster than poaching and habitat loss can empty them. This simulator renders a seven-patch reserve in 3D and drives every patch's occupancy with the Levins/Hanski metapopulation model: open a habitat corridor and colonists can disperse from an occupied neighbour; fund ranger patrols and poaching-driven local extinction drops; restore degraded habitat and a patch's baseline survival odds rise; reintroduce a species and an empty patch gets a fresh founding population. Watch the animal population on each platform grow or vanish, corridors glow when they carry dispersal, and red poaching markers flare on patches your rangers aren't covering — exactly the trade-offs a real reserve-network manager balances.
