Zebra (heading)
Waterhole
Grazing ground
This 2D companion drives a real separation/alignment/cohesion flocking model from a plain top-down canvas: a dazzle of zebras cycles between a grazing ground and a waterhole, each animal steered by neighbor spacing, group heading and a seek force toward its current waypoint. Heat level and leader confidence are genuine parameters — heat raises thirst urgency and shrinks personal space near the water, confidence tightens alignment into a straighter line — and a live readout tracks distance to water, herd density and transit speed as the herd moves.
