How it works — a real cleaning-station queue

Each manta carries a parasite-load value that climbs while it swims the open water; once it crosses a threshold it turns toward the reef and joins a first-in-first-out queue for the station's cleaner-fish slots — a genuine multi-server queueing system (M/M/c-style), not a decorative animation.

Queueing — when a slot is free, the longest-waiting manta is dequeued and serviced; otherwise it holds a slow circling pattern in the waiting ring until its turn.
Service — a docked manta's parasite load decays linearly to zero over the service-duration window, then it swims off and re-enters open water with a fresh, low parasite load.
Wait time — measured per manta from the moment it joins the queue to the moment a slot opens for it, averaged over every completed visit (a rolling mean, same definition used in queueing theory).
Throughput — completed services per minute, which rises with more slots and falls as service duration grows — exactly the c and μ terms of a standard queueing model.
