Cuttlefish Color Signal Lab (2D)

This 2D companion models cuttlefish color-pulse signaling as a coupled phase-oscillator (Kuramoto) system: each animal flashes on its own rhythm but pulls its phase toward the neighbors it can currently see, and turbidity directly shrinks that visible range. Push turbidity up and the school falls out of sync; push coupling up and even a murky reef locks back into a shared flashing rhythm.
