Solid wood Grub found & reached False alarm / out of reach

Aye-Aye Percussive Foraging: Resonance Grub Detection (2D)

This 2D companion turns the aye-aye's signature "tap-and-listen" foraging into a real acoustic-resonance model instead of a decorative animation: a damped-oscillator solved per tap gives every branch segment a genuine (frequency, damping) signature that a solid wood plug and a shell-thinned grub cavity produce differently, and a confidence score built from that deviation, checked against a sensitivity threshold, decides whether the tap is flagged — with extraction then gated by whether the finger's reach depth actually reaches the tunnel.
