A play's dramatic structure and its cast of conflicting characters aren't separate things — the shape of a story's tension is a direct consequence of who is fighting whom, and how badly. This simulator renders the classic five-act Freytag's Pyramid as a live 3D tension curve while a force-directed graph-drawing algorithm (Fruchterman-Reingold) lays out your cast in real time, pushing unrelated characters apart and pulling conflicting ones together. Adjust the cast size and how densely they clash, watch the tension marker travel from exposition through climax to resolution, and see the whole curve rise or flatten as the underlying conflict graph gets heavier or lighter — the same mechanism a playwright uses when they add or cut a subplot.
