Statistical Process Control Line

This simulation models Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement on a simulated manufacturing line: parts travel down a conveyor, get inspected against fixed spec limits, and are scrapped as waste when they fall outside them. Shifting the process mean or widening the variation σ pushes the live X-bar control chart out of its control limits and drives up DPMO (defects per million opportunities) while the process capability index Cpk collapses — exactly the signals a quality engineer watches for. Applying a Kaizen fix recentres the process and tightens variation in one step, the same rapid-improvement move used in a real DMAIC project, and the chart, throughput and capability readouts all respond immediately.
